JAKARTA. Committee member of the Governing body of the Upstream Oil and Gas (BPH Migas) Dr. Ibrahim Hashim, SE.MM, accompanied by the Board of the Directorate of fuel and the Secretariat of BPH Migas a working visit to Ambon, Tuesday (28/03/2012).
The visit was conducted in order to assist the Committee II DPD RI to get input related to the discussion of the draft changes in oil and gas law number 22 of 2001 on Oil and Gas Draft Law No. 24 of 2007 on Natural Disaster Management, Bill No. 4 of 2009 on Mining and the bill related to enterprises.
During the visit, the delegation held a meeting in the office of the Governor Karel Albert Ralahalu as the Governor of Maluku and attended by the Mayor and Echelon I se-Maluku.
From the discussions at the meeting, Maluku government has informed that in order to anticipate the implementation of the increase in fuel prices 1 April 2012 has caused many speculators were hoarding fuel. For the local government has formed a task force to surveillance involving related elements and perform socialization especially to the students in Univertas Pattimura.
In addition, Maluku government proposes socialization, especially on the implementation of Presidential Decree 15 of 2012 and the need for cooperation between the Government of Maluku with BPH Migas in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
In addition to the Governor’s office, the delegation also visited the offices of Pertamina Wayame, received directly by GM Papua Moluccas, Rev. Setyadi. in a meeting which was also attended by PT Karlez Petroleum (Seram), PT Citic and KNPI carried out an examination of how Pertamina perform supply and distribution of fuel subsidies as assigned BPH Migas.
