Evaluation of Fuel Prices Do Every Three Months

Results of the evaluation of the fuel price based on the calculation of the period of 1 month (25 Aug-24 September 2015) with the average exchange rate of Rp 14 196 per US $, the price of Premium gasoline is Rp 7,450 per liter and diesel oil subsidy of Rp 6,150 per liter. Fuel price is based on calculation period of 3 months (25 June to 24 September 2015) with the average exchange rate of Rp 13 708 per US $, the price of Premium gasoline is Rp 7,900 per liter and diesel oil subsidy of Rp 6,250 per liter.

While the fuel price based on the calculation of the period of 4 months (25 May-24 September 2015) with the average exchange rate of Rp 13 576 per US $, the price of Premium gasoline is Rp 8,250 per liter and diesel oil subsidy of Rp 6,550 per liter. Fuel price during the calculation period of 6 months (25 March to 24 September 2015) with the average exchange rate of Rp 13 372 per US $, the price of Premium gasoline to Rp 8,300 per liter and diesel oil subsidy of Rp 6,750 per liter.

“Based on the foregoing, commencing October 1, 2015 at 00.00 local time, the determination of fuel prices by the Government is determined based on calculation period of 3 months,” said Director General of Oil and Gas IGN Wiratmaja as quoted in ketarangan press on Wednesday ( 30.09.2015).

As fuel prices as of October 1, 2015 has not changed. For kerosene throughout Indonesia Rp 2,500 per liter, diesel by subsidized Rp 6,900 per liter, and gasoline Premium RON 88 in areas of deployment outside Java-Madura_Bali Rp 7,300 per liter.

Premium fuel conditions for the distribution area of ​​Java-Madura-Bali set by PT.Pertamina after coordination with the Government and considering the socio-economic conditions of society.

“Furthermore, starting in January 2016 to maintain the stability of socioeconomic and to obtain optimum fuel prices, the Government will evaluate and set the price of subsidized fuel and assignments every three months,” he explained.

Government decisions set retail prices of fuel is also considered an attempt to balance the deficit / surplus experienced by entities that receive government assignment to provide and distribute fuel. During some previous period, enterprises must sell fuel, especially gasoline Premium, below the economic price. At the end of each year the Government will do the calculations to determine whether there is a surplus or a deficit. In the event of a deficit, the government will find a solution to cover the deficit, and if there is a surplus, the surplus will be proposed to be used as an Energy Security Fund.

To ensure accountability and transparency of pricing of fuel, will involve government auditor and the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia. The audit includes the realization of the volume distribution of certain types of fuel, special assignments, the amount of the basic price, the cost of the assignment at a predetermined period, the amount of subsidy, to use the deficit / surplus of the retail selling price specified in a budget year.
