PGN Opens First SPBGs

pgnJAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) on Tuesday(24/12/2013) inaugurated Fuel Gas Filling Station (SPBGs) first in the Greater Jakarta area. SPBGs Inauguration was done by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (MESDM), Wacik.

The first SPBGs PGN located in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi is equippedwith two dispensers each having a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters of gas supply of gas per day. The dispenser serving large vehicles such asbuses and small vehicles 1 dispensers serve as taxis, public transportation and private vehicles.

According to Jero , the presence of oil on the wane , it’s time to do the conversion from fuel oil ( BBM ) to Fuel Gas ( CNG ) . Indonesia has enough gas and growing.

” So our logic is right and good is to reduce the use of oil , plus gas usage . We must seriously due to the gas , the gas is cheaper first , second , domestic gas production and more numerous , it is the third gas is more environmentally friendly . By age 3 that we must move to gas , “said Jero.

Meanwhile , PGN director Hendi Prio Santoso said, as a state , PGN continue to build and develop natural gas infrastructure independently in accordance with the mandate that has been delivered by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to PGN to become a leader in transpormasi of fuel to gas.

” PGN intends to realize this mandate by developing natural gas infrastructure for energy needs , is good for all levels of Indonesian society . one of them by formalizing SPBGs in Pondok Ungu , Bekasi , ” he said.

Previously PGN has also been building a task initiator with Mobile Refueling Unit ( MRU ) is already operasionalkan in Monas area and Banteng . The MRU difungskan for refueling vehicles like Bajaj , the way buses , taxis and other vehicles that have been converted to use CNG in Jakarta.

Present in the SPBGs persemian , Director General of Oil and Gas Edy Hermantoro , Member of the Governing Body Committee on Downstream Oil and Gas ( BPH Migas ) Harsandono Fahmy , A. Qoyum Tjandranegara , Chairman of Sutan Bhatoegana Commission VII , and Deputy Mayor of Bekasi Rahmat Effendi.
