JAKARTA. Downstream Regulatory Agency for Oil and Gas (BPH Migas), Thursday (31/10/2013) held socialization BPH Migas Regulation No. 8 of 2013 regarding the determination of freight rates natural gas through pipelines. Downstream Regulatory Agency for Oil and Gas previously been set Regulation BPH Migas No. 16 / P / BPH Migas / VII / 2008 concerning Stipulation of transport of natural gas through pipes, but Rule Rates (No. 16 of 2008) has not been able to accommodate conditions such as, tariffs for facilities that have been fully depreciated and the determination of tariffs for the construction of the pipeline open access through the assignment of the Government.
“To attract investment and the need to frame a more fundamental and structured through the distinction between system and method of tariff calculation, the BPH Migas has set Regulation Regulatory Agency for Upstream Oil and Gas No. 8 of 2013 concerning Stipulation transport of natural gas through pipes to replace BPH Migas Regulation No. 16 / P / BPH Migas / VII / 2008, “he explained.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Committee Irawan Bayu Kusuma said the convening of socialization is to promote the rule of BPH Migas number 8 of 2013 on the tariff transport of natural gas through a pipeline which is a revision of the rules of BPH Migas previously number 16 in 2008 to business entities transporting gas vumi through a pipe ( transporter), the service user effort pipe (Shipper), consumers and the Government.
“Rule number 8 of 2013 has been designated by Sidag Committee on July 22, 2013 and promulgated on August 23, 2013 in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
